Welcome to Lindsay Dudley Art, contemporary Sea and landscape Paintings

My paintings are my attempt to capture at least some of the beauty that I have seen in my travels in and around Scotland and other parts of the world, particularly parts of Scandinavia. As a committed lover of the sea, and the wild glens and hills of my home country, my work depicts all the drama that nature has to offer in the form of open skies, beautiful cloud formations and the vigour of the waves. I also continually seek to capture the solace and peace found in nature and my paintings reflect my desire to evoke that atmosphere. That contrast between the wildness and serenity, and the light and shade created by the natural world, provides me with unending opportunities to enjoy the process of trying to replicate this ever changing environment.
